Subscription FAQS

How does a floral subscription work?

Ivy and Birch offers floral subscriptions so you can enjoy the beauty of fresh flowers delivered right to your home on a regular basis. Subscriptions also make an original and thoughtful gift for your spouse, a new mom, grandparents, or anyone special in your life.

What are my options?

You can choose both the size of the arrangements and the frequency. Size options include small, medium or large, and you can have arrangements delivered weekly, every two weeks, or monthly.

What type of flowers will I receive?

Subscription arrangements reflect the designer’s choice and individual artistry. We choose the freshest flowers, by hand, based upon what is in season, and what stirs our soul. That said, if there is a specific flower or scent to be avoided for your subscription, please let us know.

What if I am out of town, or not home on delivery day?

If you are going to be out of town, we ask for 72 hours notice and we will happily move your delivery date. If you are not home, we will leave it by your door with your approval.

When do I receive my flowers?

Flowers are delivered to your front door on Thursday afternoon. If you live in an apartment or condo building, we will ring your buzzer if requested.

How do I return my container?

We will pick up your container when we drop off the new arrangement. Please return the glass or plastic liner, and even the wire ball if you can.

What about the weather?

If we feel your flowers will be damaged from extreme cold or extreme heat, we will email you to ensure you will be home for your delivery.

Are there any subscriber benefits?

Yes! You receive a 10% discount on holiday orders, and a complimentary mini arrangement on your birthday.

What can I do to extend the longevity of my flowers?

Flowers continue to drink once cut and in water. For longevity, change the water in your arrangement every few days. If your flowers are in a large vase or container, simply set it in the bottom of your kitchen sink, and let the water from the faucet flow through the vase until the old water has been replenished by fresh water.

Why do my tulips seem to be growing?

If you have an arrangement with tulips and the tulips look like antenna the day after delivery, you are not going crazy! Tulips continue to grow once cut. We try to tuck them lower into arrangements to avoid them sticking out too much over time, but feel free to remove them and give them a slanted trim if they get too tall for your liking.

How are my flowers delivered?

We try to minimize the use of plastic, so weather permitting, floral arrangements are delivered uncovered. If you are sending an arrangement as a gift, however, we are happy to wrap the flowers in cellophane and add a ribbon and extra tag, just tell us in the notes section on the order page.
